Remembrance Day - 11 Nov' 25

Another one of Lily's great confectionary creations, this one especially in memory of the fallen, injured and misplaced in both World Wars and other more recent conflicts.

A fruit cake - synonimous with those sent to the front-lines of battle, from families and friends during WWl, covered with creamed icing and adorned with a crumbled chocolate chip border surrounding a centre of poppy flowers and leaves all made from marzipan.
